About Nany

My background is rich and colorful. My homeland is Western Armenia.

My grandparents were born on their homeland but were ruled by the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) and survived the Armenian Genocide. They eventually settled in Aleppo, Syria, before moving to Beirut, Lebanon. I was born and raised during the civil war in Beirut. As the saying goes, “All dark periods shape you differently.” I am here to share my feelings and thoughts with the world.

In this digital age of artificial intelligence, I am still a human being, a woman artist, a mother of two, and a teacher.

I hope you enjoy and appreciate my art.

For me, the more people I draw into my art, the happier I will be. Art has the power to heal, bring happiness and hope, and express beauty, kindness, friendship, love, and humanity.

If artists and museums collaborate more effectively and plan ahead, we can make a positive impact on the world.

That is my belief.

Art, encompassing music, painting, sculpture, and literature, serves as a mirror, reflecting the history, culture, and geography of an artist’s surroundings.

Through my artworks, I express feelings and emotions that words often fail to convey. My goal is to connect with as many people as possible, whether to bring healing or simply spread joy, using my art and talents.

This pursuit brings me immense joy, and I always approach life with a smile and a sense of anticipation.
