Let’s engage more with art…
Hello everyone, hope all is well.
I know we are living in a world that definitely needs more art and artists or maybe more psychiatrists. Power and money are killing innocent people. And I am trying harder, in my own way, to show and share more art. As I grew up during war, I know these circumstances very well, and I stand against them.
Art heals people. It brings joy and happiness, not only to those who create it, but also to those who watch and enjoy it. Please stay close, and even closer, to art.
Let me take you to Cancun :)
I love to travel. Last November, I visited Cancun with my husband and I loved it. When I have blue sky, sea or ocean, and trees, I don’t need anything else :) :)
My watercolor painting from 1990
I always imagined myself there when I was in Beirut. I used to tell myself, one day I want to go and touch the white sand, see the coconut trees, and eat coconut like Bouy Bouy Mgnig (The Bouy Bouy Mouse book). I saw some pictures in a magazine, and I painted them, saying: “One day, I want to go.” That was on May 3rd, 1990.
Here is the painting that I recently found after searching, and I wanted to share it with you all.
My dream came true after all those years.
And these are the postcards I painted in Cancun while enjoying our getaway:
Lately, I have been working with Burlingame Recreation Park, where they provide me with Fine Art drop-in classes.
On Mondays from 5pm to 8pm, anyone can come to draw and paint. Just bring paper or a canvas. I will provide paint and brushes. What are you waiting for?
The link is below for more information and pictures. Can’t wait to see you!
